Automatic Updating System:
The Aker URL Analyzer has an automatic and intelligent updating system.
Automatic Updating: New websites are registered daily in the Aker server, accompanying the growth of the network and amplifying the scope of the Analyzers. Through the automatic downloading function, we can specify the frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly) in which the system will connect to the server and load the new categorized sites. This way, there is no risk of network administrators forgetting it or making mistakes.
Intelligent Performance: The program identifies new registered sites and loads them in the database. Thus, there is no need of complete site downloads, which would overload the network causing delays and inconvenience.
Interactivity: Through an online registering system, Aker users and clients may indicate new sites to be classified, participating actively in our database expansion process.
Flexibility: Available to Windows NT/2000/XP and Linux/FreeBSD, and compatible with Firewall-1, ISA Server, Aker Firewall, Squid..
Integration with Aker Firewall
Because the Analyzer works together with Aker Firewall 6.0 Access Profile Identifier, individual profiles can be established, specifying to what types of content each user will have access. The system works in the following way: the user enters the system using his/her name and login password, and his/her Access Profile identifies which content he/she is authorized to view. At each requested connection, the system identifies the site classification in the URL Analyzer database, and determines if the user is allowed to access it, or not, based on his/her profile.
